Head's Message

A very warm welcome to the Long Furlong Primary School website. My name is Zaheer Ahmed and I am the Head Teacher of this wonderful school. Long Furlong is a medium sized primary school with an attached nursery. The school was opened in September 1993 and is housed in a modern, exciting and well resourced building in North Abingdon.

At Long Furlong we pride ourselves on offering our pupils a first class, all round education. The dedicated and hard working staff at Long Furlong provide a nurturing environment in which all children are able to succeed. We have high expectations of our children and set challenging targets for them. We encourage every child to reach their full potential and recognise that every child is special and has a contribution to make.

We place significant value in the role of parents in children's learning and encourage active parental involvement to ensure that all children receive a high quality education and most importantly enjoy their time at Long Furlong Primary School.
